NEW! Thursday Intro to Sewing Class 3:45-4:30pm
NEW CLASS! I’m so excited to offer a new class this semester: Intro to Sewing! I have had so many students express an interest in sewing and design so I thought this would be a wonderful class to add to our lineup! This class will be small due to the level of instruction required as well as limited machine availability.
This class will be offered to grades 3-5 currently. In this class, students will learn how to set up and use a sewing machine, basic pattern making, variety of stitch styles, design-to-production process, and create unique pieces of their own.
This class might require additional materials if a student has a specific need or request for an item they choose to make. I will have an assortment to choose from, but if they have a specific vision, it might require bringing that in for class! (if you so choose :)
Classes will run 14 weeks; beginning on January 30th and end on May 8th. The art show will be Friday May 9th. There will be no classes the week of Spring Break. We will follow DISD for weather related closings.
Classes are held at Greenland Hills UMC located at 5835 Penrose Ave. More details will be sent closer to start date of class.
